Suspicious Bag Closes Abortion Clinic

Bomb squad robot handles suspicious backpack
A backpack left unattended at a Bossier City abortion clinic in Bossier City was rendered safe by a robot provided by the Shreveport Fire Department’s bomb squad, authorities said. The backpack was found about 8:55 a.m. today on the back steps of the Bossier Medical Suite Abortion Clinic located at 1505 Doctors Drive, Bossier City police said. Upon the arrival, Bossier City police and fire departments, searched to find the owner of the backpack, but no one could be identified, police said. The Shreveport Fire Department robot used a water disruption shot to open the backpack. One pair of boxer shorts was found inside the pack. Posted by Editor at July 26, 2005 08:44 AM
