No Charge In Abortion on Girl, 14

Fornication, Statutory Rape, Deception and Murder
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said Wednesday that he would not file criminal charges against the local Planned Parenthood clinic over an abortion it performed on a 14-year-old girl last year. Questions about the legality of the abortion arose after the girl's family sued the clinic in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court alleging that doctors performed the abortion without notifying her parents, which Ohio law requires. An investigation by Deters' staff found the girl gave the clinic the telephone number of her 21-year-old boyfriend instead of her parents'. The girl's "boyfriend" has since been convicted on seven charges of sexual battery for having sex with the girl, then 13. He is serving only a three-year prison term.
