Doha -- Qatar signed an agreement with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to set up an insurance fund worth $349,509. Qatar government will participate in the project with $178,650 including administration costs, while UNFPA's share will be worth $170,959 including expenses for experts, according to press release issued yesterday. The agreement was signed by Sheikh Hamad bin Jabor bin Jassem Al Thani, general secretary of the Planning Council who represented Qatar and Dr Thurayya Ahmad Obaid, executive director of UNFPA.
