Baby Found Dead In Outhouse Toilet

CHANDLER, Ariz. -- A construction worker found the body of a newborn girl Saturday morning inside the waste tank of a portable toilet at a Chandler construction site. The baby’s umbilical cord was still attached, and the baby was probably delivered inside the toilet, said Chandler police spokeswoman Livi Kacic. Police are treating the death as a homicide. "I think it’s heartbreaking," Kacic said. "It’s a horrible situation." Police are treating the death as a homicide. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 480-782-4130 or 9-1-1.
