Pro-life rally set for Friday

Abortion foes will gather outside local Planned Parenthood
The Jan. 21 anniversary of the Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court decision has brought anti-abortion protesters to the public streets of Richmond for the past 20 years. On Friday, Bible verses will decorate the corners of South A and 11th streets. Bruce Watts, a member of Right to Life and a born-again Christian, has organized peaceful anti-abortion rallies outside the Richmond Planned Parenthood for the past 10 years. Watts said Planned Parenthood is the leading abortion provider in the United States. "God says that abortion is murder," Watts said. "We need politicians to stand up and change the law. We're trying to bring attention to the fact that (abortion) is wrong." Posted by Editor at January 20, 2005 10:59 PM
