Man charged in Planned Parenthood shooting
Police have arrested a 20-year-old man for allegedly firing a rifle into Lufkin's Planned Parenthood three months ago. Daniel Gerald Bryan bragged to acquaintances that he took potshots at the abortion clinic, according to witness statements given to police. Investigators recovered a .244-caliber rifle — the same type used in the shooting — from a man who said Bryan hid it at a house in Huntington for safe-keeping, an arrest warrant stated. The gun was sent to a state crime lab for ballistic testing. Results were not immediately available.
