A new group taking on a hot-button issue will focus on education, not persuasion, according to its founder. Sophomore Sinead Devlin, who started organizing the pro-life group in early September, has already attracted about 30 students with interest in the club and has begun the process to have the club recognized as an official student organization. In recognition for founding this new student organization, Wisconsin Right to Life awarded Devlin a $1000 grant to help fund her educational studies. Despite being associated with Wisconsin Right to Life, the Ripon chapter's decisions are primary their own, and not dictated from its parent organization. The group's goal is to attract people to attend events, fundraisers, and discussions about abortion. Sophomore Aly Williams, who serves as the group's vice president says, "This is about education, not intimidation."
