Monstrous Discrimination Against the Unborn

A Federal Crime Bill?
Mothers Can Murder Unborn Children With Impunity!

WASHINGTON -- Passage of the Unborn Victims of Violence Act was actively backed by the White House and some of President Bush's so called "conservative" supporters. Supporters denied that the bill was about abortion, pointing to language in the bill that specifically protects those carrying out legal abortions from prosecution. Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, a Republican Party mouthpiece, compared the bill to the ban on partial-birth abortion and human cloning, saying it was "another example of pro-life legislation that is supported by an overwhelming majority of Americans" regardless of the stand on abortion. The bill now goes to the Senate.

H.R. 1997
`(D) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the death penalty shall not be imposed for an offense under this section.

`(c) Nothing in this section shall be construed to permit the prosecution--

`(1) of any person for conduct relating to an abortion for which the consent of the pregnant woman, or a person authorized by law to act on her behalf, has been obtained or for which such consent is implied by law;

`(2) of any person for any medical treatment of the pregnant woman or her unborn child; or

`(3) of any woman with respect to her unborn child.

Editor's note: To say the federal government will prosecute the murder of an unborn child and at the same time sanction the child's murder by other means, is willful and deliberate intent to carry out capital crimes on the unborn! Such discrimination is monstrous! The men responsible for such brutal slaughter should be horsewhipped and then hanged! Yes! Despatch these baby-murdering criminals to God! For He alone knows the intent of a man's heart. All we see are their fruits -- the bloody carnage. --Jim Rudd

Pro-Life Action Must Originate from Principle
By Rep. Ron Paul, MD / LewRockwell.com
The worst offender of federalism is the so-called Unborn Victims of Violence Act, which not only indirectly surrenders the pro-life principle but actually directly undercuts the right to life by granting a specific exemption to abortionists! This exemption essentially allows some to take life with the sanction of federal law. By supporting this legislation, pro-lifers are expressly condoning a legal exemption for abortionists – showing just how far astray some in the pro-life community have gone.
