3 Babies Found In Attic

Babies Found In Attic
Brownwood -- Travis County medical examiners are analyzing the contents of a trash bag that contained not one, but three infants. Owners of a rural Brown County home made the discovery while doing electrical work in the crawl space between the first and second floors. Sheriff investigators initially thought the bag contained only one infant. They shipped it to Austin for further examination - and that's when examiners found two more infants in separate sacks inside the bag. Brown County authorities are treating the deaths as homicides. Chief Deputy Mike McCoy told The Associated Press they quote "have a good direction in which to go."

A Tour of Finkel's High-Tech Courtroom,
It's so High-Tech the National Media can't find it

Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Cates' courtroom is the only one in the criminal division with the $100,000 worth of equipment. For the past three months, it's been home to the trial of Brian Finkel, the abortion doctor accused of molesting dozens of his patients. The courtroom befits Finkel, a staunch abortion-rights advocate who was never shy around a camera.

If The Allegation Of Genocide Fits, Wear It
At the University of Maryland, the campus chapter of Students for Life, in conjunction with the Center for Bioethical Reform, put on exhibit a display entitled “The Genocide Awareness Project” depicting man’s inhumanity to man. This photo montage drew parallels between various atrocities such as the Holocaust, the lynching of innocent Blacks, and the contemporary practice of abortion since each was the result of denying the basic humanity of those losing their lives in these ghastly manners.

Abortion Awareness or Blatant Scare Tactics?
(No, It is 'Compelling Evidence')

IF you didn't see it, you've heard about it. On campus there was almost no avoiding it -- or the pro-choice and anti-abortion chatter it spurred. Just outside Pattee Library between Burrowes and Sparks buildings, pedestrians went bug-eyed at the two-tiered, six-foot photos of Nazi swastikas, genocide in Rwanda, lynchings and aborted fetuses.

Peterson Case Comes Back To Light This Week
SAN FRANCISCO — At a preliminary hearing beginning Wednesday in Modesto, the public gets its first look at how prosecutors will try to tie the former fertilizer salesman to a double murder. His lawyers will try to persuade Judge Al Girolami to throw out key evidence investigators obtained from wiretaps, bloodhounds, hypnosis, DNA analysis and tracking by global positioning systems.

Lawyers Prep For Peterson Trial
Ten months after Laci Peterson disappeared from her Modesto home, Stanislaus County prosecutors will start laying out the reasons Wednesday why they believe her husband, Scott, killed the mother-to-be and the couple's unborn son. The long-awaited preliminary hearing is expected to last at least five days, after which Superior Court Judge Al Girolami will determine whether there is enough evidence to try Scott Peterson in a case that has drawn national attention.

Impotent Protesters: As Pro-Lifers Protest
Killing Clinics, How Should They Behave?

According to J. Grant Swank, Jr., they can prayer. They can sing songs. They can hold signs of 'light, life and love.' They can invite dialog with those entering the clinics. They can distribute literature. BUT they do NOT preach the Word of God! Apparnently Mr. Swank does not realize that "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God," and people do NOT get faith any other way!

Right to Life Rally Told to Continue
to Ignore the Commandments of God

AUGUSTA -- Fresh from two victories on the national front[?], members of the Maine Right-to-Life group were told Saturday they should now focus on supporting congressional legislation filed after the death of Laci Peterson, the California woman who was eight months pregnant when her body washed ashore in April. She had been missing since Christmas Eve 2002. Her husband, Scott Peterson, has been charged with murder in the case. Georgette Forney, executive director of the anti-abortion NOEL group, told the members that because California has an "unborn victim" law, Peterson is also facing a murder charge in the death of Connor, the unborn child.

A Firefight Over Abortion
For Dr. Leroy Carhart, last week was deja vu all over again. When Nebraska passed a ban on so-called partial-birth abortion in 1997, Carhart challenged it in court, contending the law was so vague it could restrict nearly all abortions after the first trimester.

'Heat Poses Health Risk For Babies'
Babies are being exposed to an increased risk of cot death because most parents do not know the correct temperature for their child's bedroom, research claims. The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) said parents should be careful not to let their babies get too hot and should use a thermometer to make sure they have a safe sleeping environment.
