Couple Accused Of Starving Baby Arrainged

An Athens couple was arraigned in McMinn County Criminal Court Monday on charges of child neglect stemming from allegations the pair were trying to starve their infant to death. Athens Police Detective Hal Williams filed the charges in late June after he began an investigation following a probe by the Department of Children’s Services. David and Cassandra Bowling, 29 and 30 respectively, of 214 Decatur Pike, Athens, were charged with child neglect in June by Athens police for allegedly failing to feed their infant child.
