Memorial Held For Infant Slain In 1986

BRISTOL -- Daniel Lee Poulin never had a funeral or a memorial ceremony when he died 17 years ago. But on Monday, the 7-week-old infant was honored at a small ceremony at West Cemetery. Only a few raindrops fell lightly on the crowd that gathered by his gravestone to hold a moment of silence and say a few prayers in remembrance of the boy whose life was cut short by suffocation at the hands of his mother. For Belinda Taylor-Doak, the moment was bittersweet. She would at last be able to visit her grandson’s grave. After his death in 1986, Taylor-Doak said no one had called her to tell her about the funeral arrangements and she never knew where Daniel was buried. Posted by Editor at August 5, 2003 09:13 AM
