Police Seek Mother Of Newborn Girl

ROCKVILLE -- Police were searching Monday for a woman who could be the mother of a newborn girl found abandoned at a Damascus construction site on Independence Day, authorities said. Construction workers found the infant near a dirt road. She was wrapped in a cloth, her umbilical cord attached, and doctors said she had been born 12 to 24 hours earlier.
